Whether you're an active owner or someone who may still be listed on the title, your participation is vital as we move through this next phase. As discussed, a bankruptcy hearing is approaching, representing an important step toward the sale of the resort and the eventual distribution of any net proceeds to owners. This court-supervised process is designed to ensure fairness and transparency, and it will not affect your credit or require any financial contribution from you.

Dear Hiawatha East Owners,

As previously communicated in recent mailings, Hiawatha Manor East Resort is facing significant challenges. To address these issues, a decision has been made to initiate bankruptcy proceedings. This process will allow the resort to obtain a federal court order to oversee the sale, ensuring transparency and fairness for all owners. This represents a critical step towards resolving the property’s financial and operational difficulties. However, remember, as an owner, you will not be personally affected by the bankruptcy, but you are included as co-owners at Hiawatha Manor East.

Key Updates: 

1. Stay Connected

It is important that we have your current contact information on file. Please confirm and update your mailing and email address, including how you prefer to receive correspondence for all future communications.  If email is preferred, please remember to check your spam and junk mail for correspondence from Lemonjuice Solutions.

2. Sale Process and Distribution of Proceeds

The court-approved sale will be conducted under federal oversight, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Once the property is sold, net proceeds will be distributed in proportion to all active owners. No action is required from owners to participate in this process.

3. Ownership and Usage Rights

If you do not wish to wait until the sale of Hiawatha, you may still surrender your ownership back to the association for $250.00. To do so, please email hiawathaeastreimagined@lemonjuice.biz 

4. Next Steps and Timeline

March 10, 2025 – Special Meeting at 11:00 AM CST / 12:00 PM EST. March 11, 2025 – Lemonjuice Solutions will file a motion with the United States Bankruptcy Court. 

If you haven’t already, please return your ballots by 5 PM on March 9, 2025.
